From Mumbai to Jaipur
I'm Shaikh Fatima, the founder of Najeefa. I was born and raised in Mumbai, where I completed all my studies, and today I live in Jaipur, Rajasthan, the Pink City, known around the world for its love of jewelry and colour.
Before Najeefa, I built my career online as an SEO expert and web developer, helping other businesses grow on the internet. But deep inside, I always dreamed of building something of my own, something that would make women feel beautiful, confident and celebrated.
The beginning was not easy
Najeefa did not start with a big investment or a big team. It started with a small budget, a lot of hope and countless late nights. Every step was a lesson: choosing the right designs, learning to photograph jewelry so it looks as beautiful on screen as it does in real life, and figuring out how to pack and ship safely to customers on the other side of the world.
There were days when nothing seemed to work, and moments when giving up felt easier than continuing. But every time I held a finished piece in my hands, I knew this dream was worth fighting for.
Built together
Even our name holds our story: Najeefa brings together Najeeb and Fatima, two names, one dream.
Najeefa is a family dream. My husband and business partner, Mohd Najeeb Chaudhary, has stood beside me through every challenge, every late night and every small win. Together, we turned an idea into a brand.
Our first step: Etsy
Najeefa took its first real step on Etsy. Seeing our first order arrive, from a customer we had never met, in a country far away, is a feeling we will never forget. Every order, every kind message and every review gave us the courage to keep going.
Today, Najeefa has its own home
What started as a small Etsy shop has grown into najeefa.com, a place where we share our collection of necklace sets, pendants, bracelets and earrings with women around the world. And because I build websites for a living, I designed this store myself, with the same care I put into choosing every piece.
